Barroso Ecomuseum – Borralha Mines Interpretive Centre

This mining complex, where tungsten exploration, extraction and smelting once took place, even though it has been deactivated, demonstrates the richness and geological (lithological) diversity of the region, while at the same time constituting an unparalleled industrial heritage legacy.
In this complex, visitors have the opportunity to observe and experience all the stages of mining in situ: the bathhouses, the laundries, the compressor house, the smelting building, the documentary collection and all the activities in charge of and/or related to the mine.
