Alto Rabagão Reservoir

On the wall of the Alto Rabagão Reservoir, better known as the Pisões Dam, it is possible to observe the immensity of this artificial lake and appreciate the infrastructures and mechanisms for the use and production of electricity. Completed in 1964, the wall has a height of 94 meters. This lake, fed by the Rabagão and Cávado rivers, extends for 12 kilometres to the old plateau of Morgade and is very popular for water sports and tourism, particularly in the village of Penedones, Travassos da Chã and Parafita.
