Ribeira de Pena | St Peter’s Festivities

On 26, 27, 28 and 29 June, the village of Cerva will once again host the traditional celebrations in honour of St Peter, the local patron saint.

Over the course of four days, the Festivities of St Peter in Cerva will feature a programme packed with musical entertainment, cultural events and religious celebrations.
On 26 June, the traditional Marchas Populares will kick off the festivities, bringing colour, joy and tradition to the streets of Cerva. In the evening, musical entertainment will be provided by the group Kalhambeke.

On 27 June, the Némanus will perform and ensure a great time for everyone. The Sabor Band will be responsible for livening up the evening of 28 June, which will be marked by the traditional fireworks display. The celebrations conclude on 29 June with the Solemn Mass in honour of St Peter, followed by the Majestic Procession, a moment of faith and devotion that brings the community together.
