Ribeira de Pena | Fly Me to the Moon

The film ‘Take Me to the Moon’ will premiere on the screens of the Ribeira de Pena Municipal Cinema on 27 July at 21:30.

At the end of the year 1960, in the United States, NASA specialists are all committed to taking man to the moon for the first time. However, public interest in space exploration programmes is dwindling, so the agency’s director decides to hire a marketing specialist to make NASA’s image more attractive and closer to the public.

This is how Kelly Jones, one of the best specialists in the country, is hired. However, Cole Davis, the man in charge of the mission, is not happy with the decision, believing that these actions are unnecessary and could distract from what really matters.

However, the situation gets even more complicated when the government decides that, in order to avoid a possible failure during the live broadcast to millions of people, Kelly must produce and film a fake landing, to be used in case the launch doesn’t go as planned.
