Montalegre | TransPeneda-Gerês
The first weekend in May will see another edition of TransPeneda-Gerês, this year with two new features: the 100km race will start in the town of Gerês and the 15km race will start in the village of Gralhas, in the municipality of Montalegre. This is a sporting event that will bring together around 700 athletes of 19 different nationalities, who will enjoy the best landscapes that Portugal has to offer, in one of the most beautiful national parks in the world.
The event is organised by Carlos Sá Nature Events in partnership with the five municipalities of the Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG): Montalegre, Melgaço, Terras de Bouro, Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez. It also has the support of the protection and rescue forces, associations and parish councils and local wastelands.
