Montalegre | “Transmontices” Exhibition

The Barroso Ecomuseum – Espaço Padre Fontes, in Montalegre, will host the “Transmontices” exhibition, by @I.lus.tra.me and featuring the ceramicist Tânia Ló, from 31 October 2026 to 10 January 2026.

“The collection is inspired by typical sayings from Trás-os-Montes and the traditions of Montalegre, capturing the essence and local culture. Each illustration was created with the aim of celebrating the region’s identity. To extend this world beyond paper and illustration, I invited the ceramicist Tânia Ló, whose work engages with black clay and ceramics. Between the line and the clay, between the paper and the fire, we seek a sense of continuity: a shared process where tradition is reinvented and where different languages meet. This is a travelling exhibition, with Montalegre being its second stop.”
