Montalegre | The Thread of Memory: The Classic Art of Shaving

The Barroso Ecomuseum invites the whole community to visit the exhibition of artefacts, “The Thread of Memory: The Classic Art of Shaving”, on display at Casa do Capitão in Salto from 19 May to 20 June.

This exhibition brings together utensils, tools and memories linked to the ancient art of barbering, showcasing the traditions, gestures and stories of a trade that has shaped generations. Among razors, manual clippers, brushes and other period objects, visitors can travel back in time and discover the daily life of old-fashioned barbershops.

An opportunity to recall traditional knowledge and appreciate the cultural heritage linked to the trades of yesteryear.
