Montalegre | Exhibition ‘Objects with a History (or Stories)’

Between 1 October 2026 and 31 January 2027, objects loaned by the community will take centre stage at the Barroso Ecomuseum – Borralha Mines Interpretation Centre. But these are not mere objects. These pieces, steeped in symbolism, are markers of identity and fragments of the collective memory of this former mining community.

With the exhibition “Objects with a story (or stories)”, we aim for these objects to serve as a starting point for remembering people, and for recovering and reviving the stories that helped shape the history of the Borralha Mines.
