Montalegre | 2026 Portuguese Paragliding Championship

The skies above Montalegre are once again set to host one of the sport’s most important events. Between 26 July and 1 August, the municipality will host the 2026 Portuguese Paragliding Championship, bringing together the country’s finest pilots in a unique setting, characterised by the superb natural conditions of the Serra do Larouco.
Over the course of several days, the competition promises to deliver a spectacle of great beauty, where technique, strategy and adventure intertwine with the breathtaking landscapes of Barroso.
