Montalegre | 19th Carrilheiras de Barroso

On the weekend of 16 and 17 May, another edition of the Carrilheiras de Barroso will take place. On the first day, the plan is to explore the irrigated fields and ancient oak groves in Travassos do Rio.
On the second day, the suggestion is to take a walking route in the parish of Chã, where the marshes and the Alto Rabagão reservoir take centre stage.
The Carrilheiras de Barroso are more than just trails; they are journeys through the purest essence of nature and tradition.
Amidst verdant hills, crystal-clear rivers and ancient shepherds’ paths, every step reveals a piece of history and tranquillity. The sound of the wind, the chirping of birds and the flow of water accompany those who venture along trails that link villages, memories and breathtaking landscapes.
