Chaves | Our Artists – Coloured Pencils

On a journey through the creative and artistic emotional world, the Municipal Library’s Multipurpose Room is hosting the ‘coloured pencils’ drawing and painting exhibition during the month of September, a set of illustrative works characterised by shapes, colours and textures made with pencils, by Flavian artist Maria José Neves

Part of the ‘Our Artists’ cycle, this exhibition will be open until the 28th, with the opening scheduled for the 3rd of September at 17:30.

From an early age, Maria José da Graça Neves showed a remarkable aptitude for the visual arts, having won her first painting prize while still in secondary school, at the Nadir Afonso School. Over the years, her creative and innovative pedagogical approach has infected and left an indelible mark on all her students, promoting art and education to build a richer society.
