Chaves | Guided tour by the curator of the exhibition “The Places of Nadir”

“Nadir’s Places”, curated by Óscar Faria, is an exhibition that aims to show the places visited and imagined by Nadir Afonso (1920 – 2013) through around six dozen paintings, 100 studies and documentary material The artist’s travels took him to see a large part of the world Nadir Afonso thus appropriates cities to expand the universal vocation of his work, a choice that is certainly not unrelated to the fact that Nadir Afonso was also an architect – he worked in the studios of Le Corbusier and Óscar Niemeyer.

Visits can be made on March 14 (4pm), 15 (4pm), 16 (10am) and 26 (4pm).

Participation is subject to registration and in accordance with the rates in force.
