In BALANE 3, a neighbourhood in the city of Inhambane in southern Mozambique, we follow snippets of the daily lives of its inhabitants. Among fishermen, butchers, car washers, students and street vendors, the film reveals lives shaped by work, friendship, illness, politics, love and desire. Through conversations, encounters and nights of dancing, the residents speak openly about life and, above all, about sex, painting an intimate, human and vibrant portrait of a community.
