The Highest Vineyard in Portugal was created in 2017 by the company FGWINES located in Donões Montalegre, at 1070 m above sea level, forming part of an exclusive number of vineyards in the heart of the World Agricultural Heritage Territory (SIPAM), part of the Trás-Os-Vine region. Lots. Its soils are sandy, granite and some occurrences of quartz. The grape varieties that make up this vineyard are Códega do Larinho, Fernão Pires, Moscatel and Viosinho and Bastardo.
