Serra do Larouco

The Serra do Larouco, with 1527 meters of altitude is the second highest elevation of continental Portugal. Located on the borderline with Spain, it integrates the mountainous complex of Peneda-Gerês, where the Cávado river is born, constituting a natural viewpoint with panoramic views of excellence. This large granite mass, with steep slopes, serves as a habitat for wild animals and meets the necessary and ideal conditions for the practice of mountain sports such as hiking, climbing, paragliding, and hang gliding.
