Montalegre | Traces of the Past: Machines and Memory

The Barroso Ecomuseum – Borralha Mines Interpretation Centre will host the temporary exhibition ‘Marks of the Past: Machines and Memory’ until December 2025.

This exhibition will display a collection of instruments, such as typewriters, that were part of everyday life in these old tungsten mines. These simple objects, imbued with symbolism, bear witness to a time when black gold ruled the lands of Barroso.
