Exhibition ‘Rear Window’
I borrow the title of this memorable 1970s film by Alfred Hitchcock, starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly.
Like the film’s protagonist, ‘Jeff’ (James Stewart), confined to a wheelchair, who spends his days spying on his neighbours from his apartment window, I seek to convey, through the portraits I present to the public, nothing more than a curious and inquiring gaze upon
moments of intimacy.
Supported by a play of lines and shadows, I seek to explore the sensuality of the shapes and poses of the protagonist of all the paintings: the woman.
