Visit Alto Tâmega e Barroso

Started on Monday, June 13, the first of twelve training actions provided in Alto Tâmega Project – Tourism 4.0, with the theme “ALTO TÂMEGA IN 360º – Guided Tourist Experiences”, in the Restaurant “A Talha” in Chaves.

These actions have the objective to enable the Alto Tâmega tour operators in order to endow them with the necessary technical and functional knowledge to modernize their businesses, adapt the touristic offer to the new challenges of Tourism and raise awareness of the inherent advantages of establishing partnerships with the other tour operators of the Region.

Tourism technicians from the region’s municipalities were the guest speakers at this first training session to present the tourism offer of their respective municipalities to tourism operators.

This session, in addition to promoting networking between tour operators of the various municipalities of Alto Tâmega, intended to give them a greater knowledge of what is the tourist offer of the whole territory, as suggested by the theme of the action.

Besides the guest speakers was also present the First Executive Secretary of the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega (CIMAT), Ramiro Gonçalves and representatives of PENHAS – Consulting and Events.

Also this week, thinking of those who may have difficulties in displacement, will take place the second training action in online format, on June 15 (today), at 15:00, with the theme “Positioning and Value for Tourism in Alto Tâmega”.

Next week:

June 20 (Monday), from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, will take place at Pena Park Hotel – Ribeira de Pena, the third training action that has as theme “Experience is everything!”.

Participation is free of charge, but subject to REGISTRATION UNTIL Friday (June 17) at 5pm, since the session ends with lunch.

On June 22 (Wednesday) the fourth online training session will take place at 3:00 pm, with the theme “Valuing Territorial Identity”.
