Optimizing the transport system, reducing the dependence on individual transport, increasing the efficiency of the entire system and, consequently, increasing the attractiveness of public transport and the progressive decarbonization associated with mobility, are the goals set by this strategy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tHighways\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_column_text]Alto T\u00e2mega is served, in road accesses, by the A24, which connects the Alto T\u00e2mega to the south, with Viseu, Coimbra and Figueira da Foz, making the connection in Vila Pouca de Aguiar with the A7 that connects Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes to the coast, to the north the N103 crosses the region coming from Bragan\u00e7a following after to Braga, without forgetting the N2 that crosses the country starting in Chaves and finishing in Faro.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

National Road N2<\/h4>\n

The National Road 2 (N2) was entered in the National Road Plan on May 11, 1945.
\nThis inscription turned it into the backbone of the interior of the country, connecting it from North to South, from Chaves to Faro, in an extension of 739.260 km.
\nIt is one of only three roads in the world and the only one in Europe of its type, with “Route 66” being located in the United States and “Route 40″ in Argentina.
\nThis route allows you to discover, get to know, and feel various regions of the country – 11 districts and 35 municipalities.
\nWith unique characteristics, the National Road 2 (N2) is a destination of choice full of good landscapes, good food, and sensorial experiences. The most reliable portrait of Portugal’s identity.

Highway A24<\/h4>\n

The A24, with a total extension of 155 km, winds through landscapes that are some of the most beautiful in Portugal, connecting Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes to Beira Interior.
\nIt is a unique achievement in terms of size, which required the construction of more than 130 structures, including 35 viaducts, and required more than 26 million cubic meters of earth moving.
\nWith 23 interchanges, the A24 was designed to end the isolation of the country’s interior. This highway is a vital link that allows the trip from Chaves to Viseu to be done in less than an hour and a half, and is a real development opportunity for this entire region.

Highway A7<\/h4>\n

The A7 is a Portuguese highway. \n\t\t\t\tChaves Municipal Airfield\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_column_text]Chaves Municipal Aerodrome, whose management is entrusted to the Municipality of Chaves, is located in the parish of Vilar de Nantes, in a veiga area and on the left bank of the T\u00e2mega River.
