As part of the Montalegre Book Fair, the Parafita Music Band will present the debut concert of its new recording project, entitled \u201cEcos do Barroso\u201d, this Saturday, 30 May, at 9.30 pm, at the Montalegre Municipal Auditorium.
\nThe concert is particularly significant as it features a collection of previously unpublished works, never before recorded, the majority of which will be performed for the very first time. Most of the compositions were commissioned specifically for this project and draw inspiration from themes linked to the Barroso region, its landscape, memory, culture and identity.<\/p>\n
The programme includes works by the composers Andr\u00e9s \u00c1lvarez, Mathias Wehr, Nelson Jesus, V\u00edtor Resende, Pedro Pires and Antero \u00c1vila, reflecting a diversity of contemporary musical languages, united by a strong connection to the Barroso region.<\/p>\n
