{"id":37835,"date":"2025-04-14T14:59:16","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T13:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visitaltotamegaebarroso.pt\/events\/ribeira-de-pena-25th-april-celebrations-2\/"},"modified":"2025-04-14T14:59:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-14T13:59:16","slug":"ribeira-de-pena-25th-april-celebrations-2","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/visitaltotamegaebarroso.pt\/en\/events\/ribeira-de-pena-25th-april-celebrations-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ribeira de Pena | 25th April celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Municipality of Ribeira de Pena is marking the 25th of April with a programme dedicated to celebrating freedom, democracy and history.<br \/>\nThe celebrations will begin on 21 April with the opening of the exhibition \u2018MFA Cultural Dynamisation Campaigns\u2019, which will be on display at the School Museum until 5 May.<br \/>\nOn 23 April, at 9pm, the book \u2018Gravetos da Mem\u00f3ria\u2019 by Professor Manuela Vaz de Carvalho will be presented at Casa da Torre.<br \/>\nOn 24 April, at 3pm, there will be a parade recreating the demonstration of 25 April 1974, organised by the Ribeira de Pena School Group. In the evening, at 9.30pm, the play \u2018O Tesouro\u2019 (The Treasure) by the Urze Theatre Company will take to the stage of the Ribeira de Pena Municipal Auditorium, with free admission.<br \/>\nOn April 25, the programme will begin at 11.30am with the Guard of Honour shared by the Ribeira de Pena and Cerva Fire Brigades, followed by the solemn session to commemorate Freedom Day at the School Museum at 11.45am.<br \/>\nThe celebrations end on 30 April with the screening of the film \u2018Comrade Cunhal\u2019 at the Municipal Auditorium, the 2.30pm screening dedicated to the school community and the 9pm screening open to the general public, with free admission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Municipality of Ribeira de Pena is marking the 25th of April with a programme dedicated to celebrating freedom, democracy and history.
