The Public Garden of Chaves will host the festivities in honour of Our Lady of Grace on Sunday 15th September at 4pm, traditionally celebrated on the third Sunday of September, with an open-air Eucharist presided over by His Excellency Ant\u00f3nio Augusto de Azevedo, bishop of the diocese of Vila Real.
\nThis celebration, which attracts thousands of faithful every year out of devotion to the city’s patron saint, fills the streets of Flavi with the faithful, and also includes the usual procession at 17:00. The religious procession, which returns to the Church of Santa Maria Maior, in Pra\u00e7a de Cam\u00f5es, includes the Patron Saints of the local parishes, accompanied by the Municipal Band \u2018Os Pardais\u2019 and the Vila Verde da Raia Musical Band.
\nEvery year, the festivities in honour of Our Lady of Grace and the traditional procession through the historic centre of Chaves bring together thousands of devotees from various parts of the region and the country, making it the largest procession in the municipality.
\nWith the participation of around half a hundred floats from the various parishes in the municipality, the event is organised in partnership by the Town Hall, the Parish of Santa Maria Maior and the Parish of Madalena, with the important support of the parish councils and parishes in the municipality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
