Chaves | Presentation of the Magazine “AQUAE FLAVIAE – N.º 67” – Toponymy of the Municipality of Chaves

On March 7 (Thursday), at 5 p.m., the Municipal Library of Chaves will host the presentation of the magazine “AQUAE FLAVIAE – N.º 67” – Toponymy of the Municipality of Chaves, by José Dias Batista.

The science that studies the names of places, linked to their origin and process of evolution based on research, above all in the archaeological, historical, anthropological and geographical spheres, sets the tone for another issue of the “AQUAE FLAVIAE” magazine. Consequently, the Toponymy of the Municipality of Chaves published in this issue of the magazine is of supreme importance for knowing the name of each of its places and so that the choice of new toponyms or changes to existing ones is guided by careful rigor and etymological coherence.
