SUMMARY:Montalegre | “Ecos do Barroso” – Parafita Music Band
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Montalegre Book Fair, the Parafita Music Band will present the debut concert of its new recording project, entitled “Ecos do Barroso”, this Saturday, 30 May, at 9.30 pm, at the Montalegre Municipal Auditorium.\nThe concert is particularly significant as it features a collection of previously unpublished works, never before recorded, the majority of which will be performed for the very first time. Most of the compositions were commissioned specifically for this project and draw inspiration from themes linked to the Barroso region, its landscape, memory, culture and identity.\nThe programme includes works by the composers Andrés Álvarez, Mathias Wehr, Nelson Jesus, Vítor Resende, Pedro Pires and Antero Ávila, reflecting a diversity of contemporary musical languages, united by a strong connection to the Barroso region.\nThe “Ecos do Barroso” project is supported by the “la Caixa” Foundation of Banco BPI and the Municipality of Montalegre.\n
