SUMMARY:Chaves | Workshop for families – Guided tour of the exhibition
DESCRIPTION:As part of the exhibition ‘Álvaro Lapa – Modernidade Platex’, on display at MACNA – the Nadir Afonso Museum of Contemporary Art, the Serralves Education Service, in partnership with the Municipality of Chaves, will be organising a series of themed activities aimed at different audiences.\nOn 8 May, a training session will be held for teachers, educators, specialists, cultural practitioners and other interested parties. The initiative aims to promote the sharing of pedagogical tools and methods for understanding and engaging with the exhibition through theoretical and practical activities. Registration is free, and the training will take place from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, and includes a certificate of attendance.\nOn Saturday, 9 May, from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, a Family Workshop will take place. Drawing on Álvaro Lapa’s unique visual language, characterised by the relationship between image and word and the dialogue between visual arts, philosophy and literature, participants will be invited to transform images into words and words into images. Through drawing, writing and collage, the artist’s creative universe will be explored, culminating in the creation of a personal notebook.\nOn the same day, at 3.00 pm, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition, offering an in-depth exploration of Álvaro Lapa’s work and artistic career.\n
