DESCRIPTION:This Sunday afternoon we can once again listen to Portugal’s most awarded Academic Orchestra. This time in a concert that presents a combination of Christmas cheer and imaginative music. The opening piece, Christmas Fanfares, by Todd Stalter, sets the cheerful tone for a programme that includes Bestiarium, a captivating work with nine movements, each written by a different composer, that depict different animals, from tropical fish to dinosaurs and chameleons, through creative sounds and textures. The concert ends with a Christmas Medley celebrating the traditional melodies of the season.
