DESCRIPTION:The Café (La Bottega del Caffé, 1750) is a play based on the original text by renowned Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni, set in the 18th century and exploring the customs and culture of that period.\nThe main setting is a café, which also includes a gambling hall frequented by ‘pelintras and false nobles’ who play at cheating.\nThe bets bring wins for some and losses for others, which ends up generating conflicts between the players, sometimes requiring the intervention of the local authority to resolve disagreements.\nOn 14 December, at the Ribeira de Pena Municipal Auditorium at 9.30pm, don’t miss the performance of the play ‘O Café’, a comedy full of intrigue and humour.\n
