SUMMARY:Chaves | M’ariana Freedom
DESCRIPTION:Theatre by Via3 Companhia de Teatro, Viatodos.\nThe dance between texts by various women of April, such as Natália Correia and the Three Marys, with Francisco Garcia Lorca’s “Yerma”, Svetlana Alexievich’s “War has no woman’s face”, unpublished texts and the daily judgements that women, for various reasons, have to suffer every day in the middle of the year 2024, results in M’Liberdade. It’s a play about a past that stubbornly remains and which leads the viewer to put themselves and their actions into perspective. It’s art that hurts, art that costs, art that makes you think, art that empathises and educates. Art that makes you understand, art that cries out for help and evolution. Art that screams woman. Art that screams freedom.\nA show in which the body, music and words come together in an unprecedented and unpredictable construction that will never be performed in the same way twice.\n“April was sung 50 years ago,\nAnd there’s still so much to fight for today”.\nThis is a theatre play for schools in the municipality of Chaves.\nAdmission is free, but tickets must be obtained in advance from the Chaves Municipal Library and the Chaves Tourist Office.\nOrganised by: Municipality of Chaves\n
