SUMMARY:Iberian Wolf Interpretive Centre opens
DESCRIPTION:The official opening of the Iberian Wolf Interpretive Centre (CILI) takes place in Pitões das Júnias this Thursday at 12.30pm. Created in the tourist village of Pitões das Júnias, this is a space entirely dedicated to the wolf, where the very architecture of its interior projects the visitor into the various types of wolf fojos found in the Barroso region and in which it has managed to present a complete image of the Iberian wolf (canis lupus signatus) in its multiple perspectives and contexts, as a wild species, as an integral part of a landscape and as part of a relationship with Man, in the past and in the present.\nThis is the first Iberian wolf interpretive centre in Portugal to focus on the wild populations of this predator and the history of its relationship with man, located in the heart of the species’ range.\nThe opening will be attended by the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Spatial Planning, Carlos Miguel, among others.\n
